BRIEF PRESENTATION OF THE AKINTOLA WILLIAMS & CO GROUP

Prior to the incorporation of our firms on 29/01/2010, the following important steps were taken:

(i) Approval on 30/11/2009 by Mr. Akintola Williams, owner of the Akintola Williams & Co trademark, of a request by Mr. Nambouh to use Akintola Williams & Co as the practising name of our firms: “Needless to say therefore I wholeheartedly welcome Nambouh’s initiative to practise in and outside the Republic of Cameroon, using the name: “Akintola Williams & Co”
(ii) Incorporation on 29/01/2010 of the following firms: (a) Akintola Williams & Co, as Chartered Accountants & Management Consultants; (b) Akintola Williams & Co Conseil as Tax, Legal and Labour Consultants; this incorporation was published in Cameroon Tribune newspaper on 18/02/2010.
(iii) On application by Mr. Nambouh, holder of the Akintola Williams & Co trademark, the African Intellectual Property Organization(OAPI) registered the trademark on 15/12/2010 for purpose of protection as follows: Trademark N° 64713, Deposit N° 3200901059; this registration was renewed on 02/01/2019 under deposit N° 32257.
(iv) This registration is effective in each of the seventeen (17) OAPI member countries, namely: Benin, Burkina Faso, Cameroun, Centrafrique, Comores, Congo, Côte d’Ivoire, Gabon, Guinea, Guinea Bissau, Equatorial Guinea, Mali, Mauritania, Niger, Senegal, Tchad, Togo
(v) Akintola Williams & Co has CEMAC licence N° SEC 16 and is registered by the Institute of Chartered Accountants of Cameroon(ONECCA) as follows: Licence N° SEC 16, enrolment N° 01 SEC.

Name : Nambouh Edward Mingoh
Profession : Fellow of the Institutes of Chartered Accountants of Nigeria (ICAN) and Cameroon (ONECCA), and licensed by the Council of Ministers of Economic Union of Central Africa (UEAC).
Date of birth : 26 August 1957
Nationality : Cameroonian
Function : I have worked as partner for more than 35 years in Deloitte &Touche from which I retired in 2009 after 25 years and set up Akintola Williams & Co in 2010.

Principal qualifications are:

On graduation with a Bachelor of Science (B.Sc.) Degree in Accounting from the University of Nigeria, Nsukka in 1984, I joined the firm of Akintola Williams & Co, as an articled clerk. Akintola Williams & Co was a member firm of Touche Ross International network which became Deloitte & Touche in or around 1986, I trained in Lagos, Nigeria, and Cameroon and qualified as a Chartered Accountant in 1988 after passing the qualifying examination of the Institute of Chartered Accountants of Nigeria (ICAN).
I was appointed a partner in the Cameroon Office in 1994 and sent to BDA/Deloitte & Touche, Paris on a strategic career development program in the banking and financial services group.
On return to Cameroon, I have worked as audit partner in the following sectors: banking & insurance, oil and gas, mining, brewery, agro-industrial sector, shipping, manufacturing, hotel, etc.;
Tax & Secretarial services partner in Deloitte & Touche dealing with tax planning, compliance and advisory services, company incorporation and acting as secretary to companies.

Paul Acha, Partner in charge of Limbe Office.

Paul N. Acha has more than 35 years of audit experience and has served as audit partner in charge of CDC audit, Pamol, Pecten, Amity Bank, Union Bank NWCA, etc.

Paul is a fellow of the Institute of Chartered Accountants of Nigeria (ICAN).

He is also licensed by CEMAC as a Chartered Accountant and Statutory Auditor. He is also a member of the Institute of Chartered Accountants of Cameroon (ONECCA) and has served for many years on the Council of ONECCA.

Paul has been the Managing Partner of Deloitte & Touche Cameroon.

Paul’s experience includes:
